Hulmes Vale House and Holmes Barn are located in open countryside on the edge of Bradwell Moor.

We recommend that you do not use sat nav to find us as this will bring you in along a lot of back roads and through a quarry. Use the following directions instead;

Coming from the East:

Travelling East on the A623, 4 kilometers after the Anchor Pub at Tideswell crossroads you will see a signpost that directs you right towards Bradwell Moor. The turn is also marked by a white farmhouse. Take this turn. If you get as far as Peak Forest then you have gone too far. The turn you need is just before the zig-zag descent into Peak Forest. Travel on this lane for approximately 1 and half kilometers. We are the second farm on the right.  There is a large sign at the top of the drive which reads Hulmes Vale Farm.

Coming from the West:

Travelling West on A623 you will come through Peak Forest, after which you immediately climb a couple of big zig-zags in the road. Immediately after the top of the zig-zags turn left at the small cross roads across the front of white farmhouse.  Travel on  this lane for approx 1 and a half kilometers. We are the second farm on the right.  There is a large sign at the top of the drive which reads Hulmes Vale Farm.

As you get to the bottom of the drive you will see a large parking area at the rear of the cottages.

For Hulmes Vale House please proceed to the far left end of the car park, there you will see a set of steps leading down to the Hulmes Vale House porch.  Please do not block the access to the paddock area accessed through the gates near the steps.

For The Holmes Barn please park near the bottom of the drive, Holmes Barn is the first cottage at the bottom of the drive.

The parking area is to be used by both cottages so please be considerate when parking so others can come and go without any problems.
