ideal for large groups

Situated on Tideswell Moor in North Derbyshire, at the heart of the Peak District National Park we are easily accessible from all the major road/rail networks and only one hour from Manchester airport.

The accommodation comprises of two units offering a variety of sleeping arrangements.  The Holmes Barn has 4 bedrooms and downstairs futon bed giving sleeping for 16.  Hulmes Vale House has 4 bedrooms and 2 large bed settees in the lounge giving sleeping for 15.  Hired together you have sole use of all facilities and accommodation for up to 30.

Both cottages are fully equipped with all crockery, cutlery and have dishwashers, washing machines and all facilities for both a short break or week long stay.  The cottages bedroom arrangements are made up of single beds and adult size bunk beds, they have shared bathrooms and both have downstairs cloakrooms with extra toilet facilities.  The cottages lend themselves to groups who need large meeting rooms but may also require smaller areas for one-on-one time.  Outside you have ample parking and each cottage has its own patio, garden and stone built bbq.

To the side of Hulmes Vale House is a large flat grassed area (approx one acre) which can be hired for camping, marquee erection or team games.

We have had visits from many varied groups - several who come back yearly,  School groups, Duke of Edinburgh, Junior cricket clubs on tour, church youth groups to name a few. 

Nearby there are many attractions including Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Gullivers Kingdom, Castleton with its amazing caves and the Chesnut Centre a must for the little ones.

We can recommend local companies who can offer a wide selection of outdoor pursuits (both on and off site), our things to do and stag/hen pages have further details.  Caterers are also listed but most groups find that the large kitchens lend themselves to self catering as part of the fun of being away together - all major supermarkets deliver direct to the cottages.
