The Holmes Barn self catering accommodation can easily sleep 16 guests in our newly developed and completely refurbished barn.
Your stay with us includes all bedding which is freshly laundered and duvets. The barn is centrally heated throughout with fully controllable constant central heating and piping hot water.
 The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery. There is a free standing all electric range style cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher a little powder will be available.There is a separate drying room and games table complete with washing machine, and extra fridge/freezer space.
In the dining area there is a large rustic farmhouse table which uses two extension leaves to extend to easily seat 20/30 people
In the living area there is a electric log effect stove, colour TV with DVD/video (small selection of DVD's available) also radio/CD player, and free wireless internet access (with your own laptop).
In the snug area there are ground floor sleeping facilities if required incorporating a private area with futon bed, room for clothes storage and access to the downstairs cloakroom.
Bedrooms one and two have shared access to the first bathroom.
Bedroom one comprises - 1 Guest bed (makes 2 single beds) & 1 adult bunk bed
Bedroom two comprises - 2 adult bunk beds.
The shared bathroom is fully tiled and has quadrant shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Bedroom three comprises - 1 adult bunk bed & 1 single bed
Bedroom four comprises -2 single beds & 1 adult bunk bed
Bedrooms three and four have shared access to the second bathroom.
The shared bathroom is fully tiled and has quadrant shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.
All bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.
Cots and highchairs are available on request.
Wireless internet access is available (with own laptop).
The Holmes Barn can be hired with Hulmes Vale House to give sleeping for over 30 guests. If you hire both cottages we can arrange for the table to be extended in the Holmes Barn to seat 20-25 guests. Please ask at time of booking.
Scheduled to be available from Summer 09 is approx one acre of flat level ground to the side of Hulmes Vale Farm Cottages. In an elevated position and commanding stunning views of the open countryside it will be available for the guests use as a picnic/play area. Ideal for a marquee or as an additional camping area. Please check with us if you wish to use this area as it has only recently been seeded and availability will depend on the weather and how the summer pans out!
There is ample car parking near the property. As you approach down the driveway turn left at the bottom onto the parking area for both cottages. Please can visitors to Hulmes Vale House park to the far left of the building, where you will see steps to the house. Holmes Barn guests use the right hand side. As the parking is for both properties please park bearing in mind other guests. Storage is available for wet weather gear, boots. There is also on site storage large enough for bikes, climbing equipment, hang gliders etc..
Whilst we are situated on open moorland we would appreciate it if guests in either cottage respect our other visitors and the owners - who live on site. We have a policy of no excessive noise outsided after 11pm. If we have to investigate any complaints we retain the right to keep the damage/extra cleaning deposit in full.

Our inhouse caterers can accommodate most budgets and tastes or we recommend other companies within easy reach who can offer everything from a bbq to silver service - all in the comfort of your own cottage - whilst you sit back and relax!
There are many opportunities for eating out and buying provisions within a short car drive or to make your stay with us even easier order from Tesco and have it delivered straight to either the Barn or House for the day of your arrival. PLEASE NOTE do not request a bagless delivery as the driver cannot get to the door of each cottage and so the goods have to be carried from the bottom of the drive. The bags will either be given back to the driver or recycled.
